Traditional
plastering

A modern technique
in the service of authenticity

Although plasterboard is now widely available, Garabos continues to ‘plaster’ walls and ceilings in the traditional way.

The use of plasterboard is generally associated with renovation (old buildings and flats) or the restoration of historic monuments (castles, museums, churches, etc.), but it can also be used for a wide range of works that are difficult to achieve using other materials.

Rare know-how

of the Garabos company

The Saracen vault staircase:

The Saracen vault staircase is an ancestral technique for building staircases entirely in brick and plaster. A skill that was perfected centuries ago, stair builders are now much rarer. Now back in fashion, this type of staircase combines aesthetics with adaptability. It also allows you to use different types of material (wood, waxed concrete, stone, marble, etc.). For more information and photos, please visit our instagram page. The Saracen vault staircase has a strong place there.

Different types of plaster

Our plasterers not only apply plaster, but also various other materials, such as hemp concrete, lime, cob and various types of stucco (lime, stone, marmorino, etc.).

Shaping on site

This technique consists of creating specific shapes with plaster using a system of gauges directly on site, without using a moulding system. This technique is regularly used for renovation work, but can also be used for unusual new projects.
