The staff

An artistic legacy from the 19th century, staff is a plaster reinforced with natural and vegetable fibres. Its strength makes it the perfect material for creating bespoke ornaments, meticulously crafted to meet the highest standards of architects, decorators and inspired customers. When we use it for moulding or reproduction, it’s the heritage of the place we’re preserving.

Our expertise

From traditional plasterwork to innovation,
we decorate with precision
and constantly reinvent our techniques.
This is where the demands of our artisan hands come into play.

Conversations between four walls

Being a plasterer, plasterer or staffer means first and foremost understanding and respecting the places you invest in. To the popular belief that walls have ears, we reply that our project managers speak their language. As thoughtful mediators, they are the essential link between our customers, their expectations, our workshops and the memory of a place.

S(cult) nature

Sculpting nature, the figurative or the motif is a beloved ritual in our workshop. With a humble but seasoned eye and a sure but diligent hand, they honour every detail and shape, transforming our white clay into striking settings.

Borrowed imprint

The art of delighting in the imprint of the existing, for the time of a few hours is one of our emblematic skills. We embrace shapes to bring them back to life identically and make them endure in their exceptional places.

An end in itself

Gilding, waxing, decorative painting, tinting and patinas make plaster a chameleon-like material. Adaptable to all styles, it was used at the time as a support for imitating materials considered more precious. While we always play with this multitude of finishes, we also love it when we silently reveal its smooth, raw and aesthetic nature.

Under study

The most ambitious projects awaken our taste for technical challenge. Drawing on our experience working on the demanding sites of the Bordeaux vineyards, our design office welcomes every request with enthusiasm, openness and cutting-edge methods to bring the most unexpected architecture and objects to life.

Further…

…still! But not any faster. At the workshop, we take the time to research and develop new applications and aesthetic possibilities for staff and dry plastering. Recycling waste from building sites, colour palettes, new acoustic techniques, new installation techniques: our family’s insatiable curiosity is expressed every day for a long time to come.
