Garabos Editions is a high point. Countering the decorative approach to the material, the editions give a voice to designers and architects to create a new language that reinvents the conventional use of plaster. The frame becomes furniture, the straight line becomes movement, and the staff tradition is transformed. Borrowing the uses and volumes of architectural principles, Garabos Editions creates furniture elements that invert relationships to sublimate the material.

Garabos Editions honours the creative minds of today through the handiwork of craftsmen with a heritage of expertise, creating a dialogue between eras, sculpting spaces and creating highly finished pieces that blend harmoniously with their surroundings.

For our first Dialogue Temporel collection, we collaborated with the design and strategy studio LA RACINE.

Together, we’re setting the standard for future collaborations: using plaster in a contemporary way, without pastiche, to open up its field of possibilities.

A manifesto of GARABOS’ highly technical skills, capable of expressing the most creative visions, this collection launches a new appreciation of how to ennoble and project this material where it is least expected.

LA RACINE, a studio co-founded in 2015 by Tiphaine Chouillet and Tania Clemente, combines a strategic approach to branding with an eye for industrial design, enhancing know-how in contemporary worlds through innovative uses and techniques.

For Dialogue Temporel, LA RACINE reinterprets the archetypes of classical and traditional languages to anchor them in the contemporary world: each architectural piece, on the scale of the body, invites us into an anachronistic game.

These hybrid and spectacular forms, which play on the boldness and lightness characteristic of our company, offer utilitarian pieces that demonstrate the aesthetic naturalness of plaster.

The arabesques, full of roundness and detail, follow clean, technical lines to reveal the sensual feel of plaster. The ornamental pieces take shape on walls or ceilings, spreading out and giving rhythm to the space.

We’re delighted to present our new collection, the result of a collaboration between Touton Studio and Garabos. Initially conceived for one project, the Restaurant Zéphirine (Bordeaux), we couldn’t resist expanding and sharing this new range with you.

Our aim with this collection is to highlight the elegant simplicity of nature, while paying tribute to the painstaking work of the hands that created it. Each piece is handmade in our workshop, and is available in an infinite range. We present a selection of objects, to be placed on a plaque or in a picture, alone, in a group, or mixed, it’s up to you.
